Allen Welty-Green, LMSW
(He/Him)

Who am I?

I’m a husband, father, musician, artist, writer, and most recently, a therapist. After spending most of my working life in the corporate sector, I realized my true calling was to become a therapist. I went back to school, earned my Master’s degree, and received my license. Now I’m ready to help you. I will draw upon my years of lived experience, as well as my training and a deep sense of empathy in order to help you navigate the questions and challenges you face.

My Therapeutic Perspective

My therapeutic perspective might best be described as eclectic. Every person’s needs are different. Therefore I draw upon different modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and others, as best fits your unique situation. Underlying all of this is a strong belief in the Strengths Perspective, and the recognition that you are the expert in your own story.

Some of the issues I work with are:

  • ADHD

  • Addiction

  • Aging

  • Anxiety

  • Creativity

  • Depression

  • Gender Dynamics

  • Parenting

  • Reinvention of Self

  • Relationships

  • Sexuality

  • Toxic Masculinity
