Life is such a beautiful story.

Robert Burton, a famed neurologist, discovered that our brains reward us with dopamine when we tell stories. Even more exciting, when we begin to explore and analyze our stories, we clear up ambiguity, and our brains become happy as we sort out our "problems" and re-frame our life events. Understanding our ability to tell our stories and shape our own life experiences is an elemental power.

The most remarkable part about this whole discovery is the admonition that we write our stories in pencil--- which means we can go right in there, erase the harsh words, make some innovations, and transform the outcome. I am here to hear your story! I am firmly grounded in the belief that we all have inner-wisdom and the capacity to overcome any hardship or obstacle that might come our way if we increase our awareness and self-compassion towards ourselves. I will challenge you to reconnect with your innate wisdom.

My therapeutic style is compassionate, intuitive, warm & humorous, and with a deep sense of connection to creativity. My counseling approach is "eclectic," which means I will meet you (or you and your partner) wherever you are in your story. Together, we will figure out a plan collaboratively based on your life perspective & experiences. I work with adults, couples, adolescents, and different cultural considerations, including race, ethnicity, religion, sexual identity, gender identity, family background, and all other aspects of human life that make us all unique.

The clinical modalities that I have professional experience with include:  Narrative Therapy, Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Creative Arts (music, art, poetry, and journaling), Play Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. My professional education derives from Mercer University with MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am currently certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) in GA.
